Position Overview:
The cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items in accordance with company standards. The cook ensures the highest quality of product within specified guidelines, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Prepare food items using standardized recipes.
Ensure consistency in taste and presentation of dishes.
Handle and store ingredients and food items properly.
Cooking:
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed.
Maintaining Standards:
Adhere to sanitation and safety regulations.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in a timely fashion, and at the appropriate temperature.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and its equipment.
Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure that orders are executed correctly.
Communicate any food order shortages or special requests to the kitchen manager or chef.
Assist with training new kitchen staff.
Miscellaneous:
Rotate food items in storage to reduce wastage.
Check the freshness of ingredients before cooking.

Qualifications:
